Nightwear Definitions

What's the difference between a babydoll and a robe?

Here's my guide!

The numbers relate the the montage of pictures below.

  1. Babydolls
    This is a loose fitting piece of sheer fabric that covers the breasts down to the bum. Usually worn with a G-String or
     
  2. Camisoles (Cami)
    These are similar to vests.
     
  3. Chemise
    Silk or satin versions of nighties
     
  4. Kimonos
    This is more or less a dressing gown but usually in a silk or satin type fabric.
     
  5. Pyjamas (PJ)
    Comprises of a long sleeved shirt with long trousers. Covers from the neck to the ankles.
     
  6. Robes
    A dressing gown
     
  7. Vests / T-Shirts and Shorts
    This is quite simply a vest or T-shirt worn with some shorts.
